My name is in Africa on a drilling rig

Tuesday, March 26
do you remember this
and this?

i was lucky enough to be part of the team that raised awareness and money for charity: water's september campaign 2011. i'm really passionate about this non-profit and i loved helping them meet their goal of buying the yellow thunder- this drilling rig that digs 80 clean water wells a year in ethiopia, africa- that's over 40,000 people who now have access to clean, germ-free water.

they sent me pictures of the rig in action this week and i've been on cloud nine over their amazing progress. i'm so grateful to be a part of this life-changing project!

thanks to everyone who read my blog and supported this non-profit!

to find the yellow thunder on gps or see videos and more pictures of their progress, go here.

  1. This is seriously so cool. And you thought you wanted to say goodbye to your blog. Stuff like this makes all the hard work worth it. I think you're pretty amazing.
