law school year one

law school orientation started this past monday and my husband jumped into his new academic world like a five year old in a bouncy castle. he's so eager, so excited to get started, studying torts and contracts and such lawyerly things. it makes me happy to see him this happy with his life, his future plans. to be honest it also makes me a little jealous. i want a project, a job, something {anything!} that gets me this happy to slave over...

i think we all need something that makes us this excited to get out of bed in the morning.

also, i think the world could use more bendy straws and happy tape.

but anyways. i am excited for husband and only a little nervous to embark on this three year adventure. there are just so many horror stories out there, you know? but at the first year picnic last night, they had a 'significant other q&a session' and we were able to ask a few of the third and fourth year wives how it is really. and you know what, it really doesn't sound as terrible as i thought. hard and long and lonely, yes. but three years of being under the cruciatus curse? nah. besides what doesn't kill us makes us stronger and i am determined we will come out at the end of this stronger and happier because we worked through it together. i'm going to try and be the most supportive and sweet wife in the world while he studies his brains out. and i have a few projects in mind to keep myself busy while he's gone. staying busy, i hear that's the trick.

if any of you have any other suggestions to get us through, i'd love to hear them.

cheers to law school, year one!

  1. I love that happy tape!! We have been talking about when we are going to be able to come visit. Can't wait! Maybe spring or fall of next year. Love you girly hang in there. Go for walks, go to a park and read a book, do something for someone else, surprise Orlando with something fun and cute when he gets home from school. Those will make the hours go by faster and be more enjoyable. We are so happy for guys and that everything is falling into place for you.
