sealed like glue

today was a beautiful day. no, it was more than beautiful- it was a heart-fluttering, tears in your eyes, absolutely wonderful day.
we went to the san diego temple- the most beautiful temple in all the world- for a tender, sacred ceremony in which orlando was sealed to his parents for time and all eternity. that's something we believe in you see, as mormons, that family members can be sealed together forever. sealed like glue! so when we die, we're not seperated forever. we will be together again in heaven and our relationships will continue on and on with no end. we believe in life and love and family after we die.
isn't that the end-all most wonderful thing you've ever heard?!
i love it with all my heart.
so today, it made me happy deep in my soul to see my hubby and my wonderful in-laws receive these eternal blessings. and to make it even better {if it could even get any better!} we went downstairs after the sealing and orlando was baptized & confirmed for his grandfather who passed away several years ago. {part of our belief in doing temple work for our ancestors. you can learn more here}
orlando's mom has been wanting to see her father's work done for awhile now, and it was such a sweet moment, sitting there at the baptismal font. the room was full of the spirit and we could all feel the joy on the other side as we did this sacred work.
have i mentioned that i love this? cause i really do.

today took me back to that gorgeous, sunny day in august almost three years ago when i was sealed {like super glue!} to my sweetheart. knowing that he is mine and i am his for all of eternity is my greatest treasure.
